A Nobel Laureate, Doris Lessing,has claimed that Obama would be assassinated if he became president. Of course, it would be because he is an African-American and Americans are bigots (that's the way in which I read it). I think that this statement is absolutely ridiculous and is just more garbage from another America-hater.

I don't think Ms. Lessing was referring to ALL Americans when she said "They would murder him". Obviously a Majority of Americans would have just voted for him to be President, so how could we all be racist and want to kill him?
I have a much less violent view of what racism remains in the US. If Obama wins the nomination, he will loose the election. I honestly don't think all Americans are ready for a black president. This doesn't mean that everyone who votes against him is racist by any means, but enough people will vote against him for that reason to keep him from winning.
